Course Description: Why do some thrive in the midst of daily challenges while others get taken out? Why can some people tolerate a tremendous amount of stress and others get sick? Resilience. Research has shown that resilient 9-1-1 telecommunicators are happier on the job, feel more in control of their day, and have more energy for life outside of work.
This presentation outlines the factors of resilience and offers powerful strategies to bring the power of resilience into your work life and home life. Participants will learn how to apply these strategies to decrease stress levels and access more focus, energy and freedom on daily basis.

Speaker: Adam Timm
Adam Timm is a bestselling author and keynote speaker on the topics of personal resilience and peak performance for 9-1-1 telecommunicators. He shares proven tools that work. Adam spent over a decade as a 9-1-1 operator for the Los Angeles Police Department, where he pioneered a stress resilience program that contributed to a 45% decrease in sick time usage. After leaving the LAPD, Adam started his training company, “The Healthy Dispatcher,” to bring tools for resilience to this challenging profession.
